What is an Our Ocean Conference commitment?

Commitments to action are a critical outcome of the Our Ocean Conference (OOC). Every year billions of dollars are mobilized for marine conservation and sustainable oceans across every sector and region.
OOC Commitments are concrete, tangible, voluntary actions to protect and sustainably manage the ocean. These can include a diverse range of actions and pledges such as financial commitments, policy announcements, conservation projects, education and capacity building, research and monitoring initiatives, and more.
Commitment makers shape and define their own desired activities, targets and outcomes. These are submitted, managed and monitored using the OOC online commitment platform.
